Business Analysis (BA) is an area that has witnessed fast-paced growth in number of jobs available in the North American job market. While BABOK-based approach as championed by IIBA is the most popular method of training for the new business analysts, performing in the role of a BA requires specialized skills including the ability to create UML diagrams and Wire-framing using different tools that are available for the Business Analysts. With the wider acceptance of agile methodology, relevance of creating a master business requirements repository is also questioned.
Techno Canada has designed hands-on courses offering business analysis and tools training for practising business analysts. Topics include Wire-framing using Balsamiq, UML diagrams, defect tracking and collaborative project management using JIRA etc. The focus of the course is giving hands-on exposure to the practice of business analysis in a simulated work environment.
